Guyana Amazon Warriors successfully defended their Global Super League title with a dramatic six-run victory over San Francisco Unicorns in a thrilling final at Providence Stadium. After electing to bat first, the hosts suffered a disastrous start and were reduced to 29 for 8 by the Unicorns’ relentless pace attack. Dwaine Pretorius and Matthew Forde then produced a crucial lower-order fightback, helping Guyana recover to 85 all out in 18.5 overs.

In reply, San Francisco lost an early wicket but gradually moved into a strong position at 53 for 3, with Ollie Peake playing a composed innings.
