Salman Khan Reveals Mysterious Presence in His Bedroom at Galaxy Apartments
Salman Khan Reveals Mysterious Presence in His Bedroom at Galaxy Apartments
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has spoken about a mysterious experience he recalls from his bedroom at Mumbai's Galaxy Apartments. The actor said he sometimes felt that he was not alone in the room, despite never seeing anyone. He also recalled unusual incidents involving flickering lights, cupboards opening on their own and unexplained sounds.
The experience came up during a conversation with filmmaker Karan Johar, who also revisited his memories of approaching Salman for a special role in the 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Salman reportedly said that the mysterious presence never frightened him.
‘I Never Felt Alone in That Room’
Recalling his first visit to Salman's home, Karan Johar spoke about approaching the actor for the role of Aman in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. At the time, Salman was living with his family at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai.
Karan remembered being surprised by the size of Salman's bedroom, which reportedly contained just a bed and a cupboard.
Salman described several unusual incidents from that period. He recalled lights flickering when he left the room, cupboard doors opening on their own and the music system switching on without explanation. Even while in the bathroom, he sometimes felt that someone was outside, moving around near the cupboard.
The actor said he never actually saw anyone but often sensed an unseen presence and heard strange sounds behind him.
Salman Khan Says the Experience Never Frightened Him
When Karan asked whether he considered the room haunted, Salman explained that he did not necessarily think of it as a ghostly encounter. Instead, he described a feeling that someone unseen was present.
According to Salman, he sometimes felt that someone was standing behind him while he played music. He would leave the music on and walk out of the room. Even when playing billiards with his family outside the bedroom, he occasionally felt that someone was inside.
Salman said the experience never frightened him or caused him any harm. In a humorous remark, he suggested that if the unseen presence was a beautiful woman, he would like her to reveal herself.
How Salman Khan Joined Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
The conversation also revisited the making of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, the 1998 romantic drama directed by Karan Johar and starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji.
Salman made a special appearance as Aman, Anjali's fiancé in the film. Karan recalled that he had narrated only the first half of the screenplay when he approached Salman with the offer. The actor agreed to the role without hearing the full second half.
Karan also remembered Salman praising the second half of the script in front of other people who were waiting to pitch their own film stories to the actor.
Salman further recalled that actors such as Saif Ali Khan and Chandrachur Singh had turned down the role of Aman before he eventually accepted it. The appearance went on to become one of the memorable special roles in his career.
Salman Khan's Upcoming Films
Salman Khan is also preparing for upcoming film projects. One of his anticipated films is Maatrubhumi, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and featuring Chitrangda Singh. An official release date has not yet been announced.
Reports have also linked Salman to a potential project with producer Dil Raju, tentatively titled Monster. The film is reportedly expected to be directed by Vamshi Paidipally, with Nayanthara also linked to the project. If the reported plans move forward, the film could arrive in cinemas during Eid 2027.
However, the project's final details and release schedule should be treated as tentative until officially confirmed.
